CELEBRATING 40-YEARS, PARIS BUSINESS PRODUCTS CONTINUES TO GROW
Burlington, NJ – August 30, 2004 – Established as a continuous forms producer with a single press in 1964, Paris celebrates its 40th anniversary as an industry leader for paper and business products. Paris commercial papers and custom forms have national distribution with paper merchants and distributors, while Paris consumer products are offered in more than 37,000 retail stores. Continued expansion has led to the development of two entirely new manufacturing and distribution facilities. In a highly competitive industry, Paris demonstrates that quality, service and experience lead to success.
Over the years, Paris has been an innovator of laser printer paper (Laser3™), security paper (DocuGard™ checks & security papers) and specialty computer papers (PrintWorks™). Paris also continues to specialize in the ability to design and produce custom forms to meet customer requests.
In addition to its own products, Paris has partnered with several leading brands in the paper industry. Relationships with IBM, HP and Kodak have increased Paris’ product offerings in order to meet customer needs and to provide complete solutions. Technology has also been a catalyst for new products and future momentum looks strong. As the use of computers, digital devices, cameras and printers increase, more business paper and more specialty paper will be used.
In addition to its core paper product lines, Paris offers complimentary items. For the retail segment, Doc It™ offers fashionable polypropylene organizers, folders and binders to store and protect documents and media. For the commercial segment, Paris will soon offer powerful, yet easy to use check making software.
Service is paramount and sets Paris apart from the competition. Paris was founded with the concept of selling exclusively to re-sellers—no direct sales. This strategy enables Paris to grow along with its customers. Paris continues to support this strategy by providing the finest customer service, sales
assistance, expert advice, marketing support and fast, reliable nationwide deliveries. In fact, Paris is dedicated to “Star-Care”, the desire to exceed customer expectations. With “Star-Care”, Paris encourages teamwork and employees are recognized for outstanding customer satisfaction.
The 40-years of experience play an important role in an industry where quality and service are critical. Gerry Toscani, CEO of Paris Business Products, “Our business has changed substantially over the past 15-years. Whereas we used to derive 95% of our revenue from continuous forms, today that product constitutes less than 20% of our sales. What has remained constant is our commitment to support our resellers with high quality products backed by consistently excellent service.”
To build on the 40-years of success, Paris recently executed strategies that will lead to increased production, faster distribution and more efficient overall operations. A new manufacturing and distribution facility near Reno, Nevada will be operating shortly and will strengthen Paris’ west-coast capabilities while a 130,000 sq. ft. corporate office, manufacturing plant and distribution center will open in Westampton, New Jersey this fall. Besides a modern design, the New Jersey facility will feature technological and employee resources that will enable future growth and superior customer service and support.
Paris has progressed over 40-years, however, a key element that has not changed since 1964 is that all Paris employees work together for a common goal: making the customer happy.
