Printer’s Paradise

While recently working with a merchant sales rep in the Midwest, we spent the day visiting several local printers. In one day we were able to visit 12 printers. We had planned to discuss security paper, but my rep was skeptical about the printers’ interest in security paper. Was Ted ever surprised when we learned that 10 of the 12 printers had already been purchasing similar products from his competition. Why were his customers buying from these other vendors? Because they had no idea that his company even sold security paper!
After reviewing the many DocuGard medical papers, several printers promised to place orders that same week! The item that was most popular was DocuGard’s Advanced Medical Paper blue (#04545) due to its many security features and competitive pricing. And when Ted found he could sell DocuGard 10-15% below his competition – and still make at least 50% margin – he was beside himself!
