Responsible Paper Procurement

Over 95% of our paper volume comes from independently certified North American suppliers committed to preserving North American forests through responsible forestry management.
This is being done by:

• Replanting more trees than harvested.
  On average, 2 trees are planted for every
  1 tree harvested.

• Protecting water, soil and wildlife in our forests

• Preserving endangered old growth forest

Paris Business Products is certified by the Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) and Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI). Look for the FSC and the SFI certification logos on Printworks, Printworks Professional and Docugard products.  These products are a sound environmental choice for those interested in making an environmentally
conscious decision.

Chain of Custody (CoC) is the process of tracking and recording the possession and transfer of wood and fiber form the forests of origin through the various stages of production and ultimately to the end-user. This means that we can track and record where the wood fiber used to make our products came from during every stage of the production cycle.

	Forest Stewardship Council (FSC)
	FSC is and independent, nonprofit organization established to promote the responsible management of the worlds forests. Products carrying the FSC label are independently certified to assure consumers that they come from forests that are managed to meet the social, economic and ecological needs of present and future generations. http://www.fsc.org.

Sustainable Forestry Initiative (SFI)

SFI is one of the largest and most widely accepted forest certification programs in North America. They take responsible action for protecting the forestlands through the Chain of Custody manufacturing process. The program is based on the idea that responsible environmental behavior and sound business decisions can co-exist. Their logo signifies responsible forestry in today’s market. www.sfiprogram.org.
